Phu Chi Dao is located in Rom Pho Ngen Village, Village No. 11, Po Subdistrict, Wiang Kaen District, Chiang Rai Province. It is situated between Phu Chi Fa and Doi Phatang, near Phu Chi Duean. Phu Chi Dao stands at an elevation of about 1,800 meters, which is higher than both Phu Chi Fa and Doi Phatang. The unique feature of Phu Chi Dao is its peak, which rises sharply towards the sky, inspiring its name, Phu Chi Dao (meaning “mountain pointing to the stars”).
From the Phu Chi Dao viewpoint, visitors can witness the breathtaking sight of the sunrise and sea of fog gently embracing the mountains in the early morning. The surrounding peaks create a beautiful scene.
The highlight of Phu Chi Dao is at its summit, where visitors can enjoy a 360-degree panoramic view, unobstructed by trees or structures. A bamboo fence marks the border for safety. From this viewpoint, you can see Phu Chi Fa and Doi Phatang in the distance, with the Mekong River winding through the landscape, complemented by the lush forested area below.
