Somdet Phra Srinagarindra Public Park, 80th Birthday Anniversary (7th Park)
The “Flower Road,” stretching hundreds of meters, serves as a central pathway connecting Nong Bua Yai and Nong Bua Noi. The park features a palm garden, bamboo garden, teak garden, and arboretum, along with the Sala Chom Chon, a large pavilion designed in the Lanna architectural style. This pavilion serves as a central viewpoint, offering a panoramic and scenic view of the arboretum and Nong Bua Yai.
The Somdet Phra Srinagarindra Park Chiang Rai is officially named “Somdet Phra Srinagarindra Public Park, 80th Birthday Anniversary (7th Park).” It is located in Ban Du Subdistrict, Mueang Chiang Rai District, approximately 9 kilometers from Chiang Rai City.
On January 10, 1988 (B.E. 2531), Her Royal Highness Princess Galyani Vadhana, Princess of Naradhiwas, presided over the park’s opening ceremony. Later, on December 9, 2000 (B.E. 2543), His Majesty the King graciously assigned Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn to preside over the unveiling of the Somdet Phra Srinagarindra the Royal Grandmother Monument, which is housed within the park.
