Khun Korn Waterfall is an eco-tourism destination featuring a single-tier waterfall, the tallest in Chiang Rai Province, standing at 70 meters high. Visitors can reach the waterfall by trekking along the Khun Korn Nature Trail, which spans 1,400 meters through a natural dirt path about 1-2 meters wide. Along the way, hikers can observe diverse plant species, ferns, and wildlife traces, making it an excellent spot for nature study.
The site provides a parking area and restroom facilities, but there is no electricity or mobile signal. Near the parking area, the Khun Korn Stream flows, offering a tranquil spot where visitors can relax and enjoy the serene surroundings.
Khun Korn Waterfall has long been a lifeline for the surrounding communities, providing a vital water source. In the past, locals referred to it as “Tat Mok Waterfall” due to the fine mist created by the cascading water hitting the sloping rock surface, resembling a perpetual veil of fog. This mist becomes even denser during the post-monsoon season, enhancing the mystical beauty of the waterfall.
