The Department of National Parks, Wildlife, and Plant Conservation has recognized Doi Kad Phi as a site of exceptional natural beauty. To ensure its permanent protection, the area has been designated for conservation and preservation, serving as a center for research, recreation, and ecological balance. This initiative aims to protect biodiversity, preserve natural water sources, and maintain habitats for wildlife while also providing opportunities for ecotourism and outdoor recreation.
The proposal was submitted to the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, and later presented to the Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, Mr. Yongyuth Tiyapairat, who approved the designation in principle on August 28, 2006. Following this approval, Doi Kad Phi Forest Park was officially established, covering an area of 6,250 rai, under the Department of National Parks, Wildlife, and Plant Conservation’s Announcement No. 1509/2549, dated September 29, 2006.
