History of Ban Pong Sri Nakhon
Ban Pong Sri Nakhon was officially separated from Ban Pong, Village No. 3, on November 3, 2000 (B.E. 2543). The village was given the name “Ban Pong Sri Nakhon”, designated as Village No. 11, located in Rong Chang Subdistrict, Pa Daet District, Chiang Rai Province. As of today, the village has been established for 20 years.
Village Headmen Over the Years:
- Mr. Preecha Inthaut – Served from June 15, 2000, to June 15, 2010
- Mr. Manop Chaibuakham – Has been serving since June 16, 2010, to the present
Key Achievements and Distinctions:
- Winner of the Royal Trophy for the Zero Waste Project, awarded by the Department of Environmental Quality Promotion
- Winner of the Royal Trophy for the Beautiful Homes, Happy Cities Project, awarded by the Department of Local Administration
- The village has been a continuous study visit destination for various organizations interested in learning about its sustainable and environmental management practices.
